Ouvertüren, Arien und Duette von Mozart bis Verdi: Vor der Kulisse des illuminierten Rathauses von Hannover hat auch 2023 das beliebte Opern-Event stattgefunden. Am 14. und 15. Juli 2023 war die NDR Radiophilharmonie wieder live und open air im hannoverschen Maschpark. „Von Wien nach Rom“ ist der Titel der diesjährigen Ausgabe, die einen Spannungsbogen von Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart bis Giacomo Puccini bietet. Am Dirigentenpult agiert dabei erstmals Cornelius Meister. Auf der Bühne sind die Sopranistin Nicole Car, der Bariton Etienne Depuis und der Tenor Xabier Anduaga zu sehen.

Die stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre im abendlichen Maschpark, in dem tausende Menschen auf Decken und Stühlen einen Platz finden, ergreift stets auch die Musiker:innen auf der Bühne und transportiert sich ebenfalls bei den Übertragungen und Aufzeichnungen von Hörfunk und Fernsehen.

Overtures, arias and duets from Mozart to Verdi: the popular open air opera event was again staged against the backdrop of Hanover's illuminated town hall in 2023. On 14 and 15 July 2023, the NDR Radio Philharmonic Orchestra once again performed live in Hanover's Maschpark. “From Vienna to Rome” is the title of this year's event, which offers a range of music from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to Giacomo Puccini. Cornelius Meister conducted this orchestra for the first time. Soprano Nicole Car, baritone Etienne Depuis and tenor Xabier Anduaga also appeared on stage.

The idyllic atmosphere in the Maschpark in the evening, where thousands of people find a seat on blankets and chairs, not only captivates the musicians on stage but is also conveyed in the radio and television broadcasts and recordings.
