Hong Kong has gone quiet since the violent protests of 2019. The National Security Law passed in its wake is restricting democratic rights. The situation in the Chinese Special Administrative Region is reminiscent of the period in Beijing following the Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989. The fightback has led to the emergence of the most creative movements in contemporary Chinese art. So how are creatives in Hong Kong dealing with the situation?
