Der Dokumentarfilm FCK 2020 begleitet Deutschlands erfolgreichste Techno-Band Scooter über die letzten zweieinhalb Jahre quer durch Europa - privat, im Studio, auf Reisen und auf Konzerten, die während der Pandemie möglich waren: vom Streaming-Event über das Autokino-Konzert bis zum Festival „Rock am Ring“. Der Titel des Films ist programmatisch: FCK 2020, zugleich der Name eines Scooter-Hits aus dem Jahr 2020, begegnet der pandemisch verordneten Vollbremsung aller Aktivitäten mit surrealem Humor, anarchischem Widerstandsgeist und packenden Live- und privaten Archivaufnahmen.
Statt als Angestellter beim Finanzamt in Ostfriesland zu arbeiten, wurde H. P. Baxxter der Frontmann von Scooter. Der Film zeigt ein komplexes und überraschendes Bild von ihm und seiner Musik. Darüber hinaus wird die DNA der erfolgreichsten deutschen Techno-Band fernab vom Fankult offenbart.
FCK 2020 - two and a half years with Scooter
The documentary film FCK 2020 accompanies Germany's most successful techno band Scooter across Europe over the past two and a half years − privately, in the studio, on the road and at concerts that were possible during the pandemic: from the streaming event via the drive-in concert to the "Rock am Ring" festival. The title of the film is programmatic: FCK 2020, also the name of a Scooter hit from the year 2020, confronts the pandemically-imposed full braking of all activities with surreal humour, an anarchic spirit of resistance and gripping live and private archive footage.
Instead of working as a clerk at the tax office in East Frisia, H. P. Baxxter became the frontman of Scooter. The film portrays a complex and surprising picture of him and his music. In addition, the DNA of the most successful German techno band is revealed far away from fan cult.
