Schauspieler, Kabarettist, Autor und Rugby-Fan Rudolf Höhn ist auf dem Höhepunkt seiner Karriere, als die Diagnose der Parkinson’schen Krankheit ihn hart trifft. Alles, was bis dahin in seinem Leben wichtig war, gerät ins Wanken, doch gleichzeitig bringt diese Erschütterung Neues hervor und macht ihn offen für Begegnungen völlig anderer Art.

Höhn folgt seinem alten Traum, einem Rugbyclub beizutreten, und wird sein Pressesprecher. Er erfindet seine Profession neu, gründet eine Theatergruppe für Menschen mit Behinderungen und legt Rollstuhlfahrern Flügel an. Nach wie vor fließen seine alltäglichen Beobachtungen und persönlichen Erlebnisse in Theaterstücke und Kabaretttexte ein. The swaying of things

The actor, cabaret artist, author and rugby fan, Rudolf Höhn, is devastated by the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease at the height of his career. Even though everything important in his life so far is thrown out of balance, this shock at the same time opens up new avenues and makes him receptive to challenges of a completely different kind.

Höhn follows his life-long dream of becoming a member of a rugby club, and becomes a club press officer. He reinvents his profession, founds a theatre group for the physically handicapped, and lends wings to people in wheelchairs. As in the past, his everyday observations and personal experiences flow into theatre plays and cabaret texts.THE SWAYING OF THINGS is a film about life, with all its turns, breaks and surprises.
