SUPERNOVA ist die Geschichte von einer skurrilen Familie, deren Existenz schlicht und einfach auf Unfällen gründet. Irgendwo im Nirgendwo steht ganz einsam ihr Haus in einer scharfen Kurve. Meis, 15 Jahre, lebt dort mit ihren Eltern und ihrer Großmutter. Wegen der Kurve kracht immer wieder ein Autofahrer in ihr Wohnzimmer. Die Familie hat dort schon eine „Risikozone“ eingerichtet. Aber nicht nur das, die Unfälle sind Bestandteil ihres Lebens und ihrer Fantasien geworden.

Meis träumt davon, dass bald ein charmanter Dreamboy direkt mit seinem Auto in ihrem Wohnzimmer landet. Um ihn wird sie sich dann kümmern, mit ihm will sie ihr erstes Mal erleben. Ihre romantische Vorstellung von einem lebensgefährlichen Autounfall ist quasi Tradition: Ihr Großvater wie auch ihr Vater sahen die Kurve nicht. Sie kamen mit dem Leben davon und bekamen die Frauen des Hauses.

SUPERNOVA is the story about a bizarre family whose existence is purely and simply based on accidents. Their house stands all alone somewhere in nowhere on a sharp bend. 15 year-old Meis lives here with her parents and her grandmother. Because of the bend, car drivers repeatedly crash into their living room. The family has already set up a “risk zone“ there. But not only this, the accidents have become a part of their lives and fantasies.

Meis dreams of the day when a charming dream boy lands directly in her living room with his car. She’ll then look after him and share her first sexual experience with him. Her romantic notion of a life-threatening car accident is more or less a family tradition: her grandfather as well as her father failed to see the bend. The two of them survived and won the hearts of the ladies living in the house.
