Die Loire ist Frankreichs längster Fluss: über 1.000 Kilometer wilde Schönheit. Von ihren Quellen im südlichen Zentralmassiv fließt sie bis in den Norden zum Atlantik. Sie durchquert zwölf Départements der Grande Nation. Die Landschaft ist vielseitig: weitläufige Flusslandschaften wechseln sich ab mit imposanten Wäldern, Weinbergen, kleinen Dörfern und großen Schlössern. Die Loire wird von den Franzosen oft als der „französischste Fluss” des Landes bezeichnet. Die Bewohner:innen des Loire-Tals leben das typische Savoir vivre. Dabei prägt der Fluss die Menschen, die mit ihm und an seinen Ufern leben. Der Film begleitet die Loire von der Quelle bis zur Mündung.
The Loire - from the Massif Central to the Atlantic
The Loire is France's longest river, stretching across more than 1,000 kilometres of wild beauty. From its source in the southern Massif Central, it flows north to the Atlantic Ocean. It passes through twelve departments of the Grande Nation. The landscape is diverse: extensive riverscapes alternate with impressive forests, vineyards, small villages and grand châteaux. The Loire is often referred to by locals as “the most French river” in France. The residents of the Loire Valley enjoy the typical savoir vivre. The river shapes the people who live with it and on its banks. The film follows the Loire from its source to its mouth.
