Verkehrspolizist Ali regelt an einer großen Kreuzung in Afghanistan den Verkehr. Nein, er tanzt auf seinem Posten fast wie in einer Ballettaufführung, nur mit besonders ernster Miene. Ali hat alles unter Kontrolle, bis er von ausländischen Soldaten durch eine moderne Verkehrsampel ersetzt wird. Er nimmt den Machtkampf mit der Ampel auf. Doch während Ali versucht, das „Stahlmonster“ zu besiegen, bekommt er auch noch Probleme mit der Taliban. Das Chaos nimmt seinen Lauf ...
The Afghan traffic policeman Ali is standing at an intersection directing the traffic. No, he is dancing at his post almost like a ballet performer, but with a particularly grim countenance. He has everything under control until foreign soldiers replace him by a modern traffic light. But this doesn’t please Ali at all. A power struggle begins between Ali and the traffic light. But while Ali tries to conquer the steel monster, he also gets into trouble with the Taliban. The chaos takes its course …
