33 TAGE UTOPIE ist ein Dokumentarfilm über das Erinnern, das Ausgraben von Geschichten und Geschichte. Im Mai 1980 lebten mehr als 800 Menschen 33 Tage lang nahe Gorleben im Protestcamp „Freie Republik Wendland“ und verhinderten so für kurze Zeit Bohrungen für das geplante Atommüllendlager im nahegelegenen Salzstock.

Der Archäologe Attila Dészi hat auf diesem Gelände in den Jahren 2017 und 2018 Ausgrabungen gemacht. Was hat er gefunden? Kann man Utopien und Gefühle ausgraben?

33 Days of Utopia

„33 Days of Utopia” is a documentary about remembering and the unearthing of stories and history. In May 1980, more than 800 people lived near Gorleben in the protest camp “Free Republic of Wendland” for 33 days and thus temporarily prevented drilling work for the planned final nuclear waste repository in the nearby salt dome.
