Feminismus ist salonfähig geworden. Immer mehr Männer wollen Feministen sein. Die meisten modernen Männer behaupten inzwischen von sich, keine „toxische Männlichkeit“ zu leben. Sie sind die guten; die „alten weißen Männer”, das sind die anderen. Doch wie stark sind wir alle noch unbewusst in alten Strukturen verhaftet? Und wie schaffen wir es gemeinsam, aus ihnen auszubrechen? Patriarchale Strukturen sind bis heute tief verwurzelt - in Kommunikation, Arbeitswelt, Familie und Beziehungen, in Politik und in Erziehung.

Die Dokumentation begleitet vier Männer, die sagen, dass sie Feministen sind. Sie zeigen, wie sie sich eine feministische Beziehung vorstellen, wie sie ein Unternehmen feministisch gestalten und sich im Kultur- und Politikbereich für mehr Gleichberechtigung engagieren.

Men and feminism. A good match?

Feminism has become socially acceptable. More and more men want to be feminists. Most modern men say that they do not live in a world of “toxic masculinity”. They are the good guys, as opposed to “middle-aged white males”. But to what extent are we all unconsciously stuck in old structures? And how can we break out of these together? Patriarchal structures are still deeply rooted in today’s society - in communication, in the professional world, in family and relationships, in politics and in education.

This documentary stars four men who claim to be feminists. They show how they imagine a feminist relationship, how they structure a company in a feminist way, and how they are committed to ensuring more equality in the cultural and political spheres.
