Die Dokumentation DAVID HOCKNEY - DIE WIEDERGEFUNDENE ZEIT ist eine Eloge auf Hockney und sein Werk. Das Porträt zeigt einen Künstler, bei dem das Maximum an Leben, an Bild, an Realität das Schaffen prägen, bei dem das Naheliegende - Landschaften und Freunde - das Werk bestimmen.
David Hockney - time regained
David Hockney is one of the most well-known and popular artists of the present worldwide. Since the 1960s, his pictures have shaped ideas of light and landscape in California. His swimming pool paintings are icons of Pop Art. Hockney celebrated his 80th birthday in July 2017. The Tate Gallery in Britain as well as the Centre Pompidou arranged a large retrospective for him.
The documentary “DAVID HOCKNEY - DIE WIEDERGEFUNDENE ZEIT” is an eulogy to Hockney and his work. The portrayal shows an artist whose creative work is shaped by a maximum of life, picture and reality; works that are characterized by the obvious - landscapes and friends.
