Der Film erzählt von der herben Schönheit dieses Landes und der Unverwechselbarkeit seiner Menschen, von Inseln und Halligen, von Meer und Marschen.
 

Teil 2: Von den Halligen bis zur Eider

Nordfrieslands Süden, ein Land am Meer und im Meer, von mächtigen Gezeitenströmen durchzogen, bevölkert von einem ganz eigenen Menschenschlag, ist einzigartig. So rau und klar wie Land und See sind auch die Menschen, die diese Gegend formten und immer noch formen. Der Film zeigt ihre wundersame Welt im Norden Deutschlands.

North Frisia - a rough, barren region in the most northerly part of Germany. A region subject to the endless turn of the tide, where life has always been shaped by the power of the sea. The film tells about the harsh beauty of this region and the distinctiveness of its people, about islands and halligs, about the sea and marshes.

Part 2: From the hallig islands to the Eider estuary

North Frisia’s south, a region extending along the sea and in the sea, traversed by powerful tidal currents and populated by a very special brand of people, is indeed unique. As rough and clear as the land and sea - such are also the people that shaped and continue to shape this region. The film portrays their miraculous world in northern Germany.
