Mary Matthews is Strategy and Business Development Director for Blitz Games Studios, one of the world’s largest independent games development companies. Mary focuses on diversifying the company’s business through Serious Games, cross media projects and digital distribution. Mary’s background is in broadcast journalism, business and public policy. She was a reporter/presenter for most of the UK’s leading news organizations before setting up her own business and then supporting the development of regional strategy for the growth of the digital media industry in the UK’s West Midlands. Mary developed the concept of, and secured the funding for, the Serious Games Institute at Coventry University. She is a non executive Director of several government supported organisations working to develop the UK’s creative industries.
