For the last 17 years, Bill Linn has made a career of promoting videogames, developers, publishers and the interactive entertainment industry.
From King’s Quest to Myst to Everquest to Grand Theft Auto, Linn’s influence can be found on some of the industry’s top selling titles and development teams. Early in his career, Linn worked at Sierra Online, The Imagination Network and Accolade before founding his award-winning San Francisco-based agency Linn Public Relations. He closed down Linn PR to focus exclusively on managing crisis communications for Rockstar Games. During his tenure with Rockstar, Linn was involved with launches and media uproars surrounding State of Emergency, Manhunt, and the Grand Theft Auto series. Linn was also involved in the controversial launch of JFK: Reloaded, the PC game that attempted to recreate the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. In 2005, Linn co-founded New York-based Sandbox Strategies with long time business partner Rob “Pickle King” Fleischer and Rockstar marketing alum, Corey Wade. Sandbox focuses on consumer marketing, publicity and product development for videogames, consumer electronics and designer toys. The company’s current videogame clients include Activision, Marc Ecko Entertainment, Codemasters, PlanetCazmo.com and SouthPeak Games/Gamecock Media Group
